Ankle and Foot Services in NYC

At Integrative Medicine of NYC, our Board Certified Podiatrist is fully trained and experienced in providing complete treatment of foot and ankle pain.  Our Podiatrist, Dr Connolly brings a wealth of experience to diagnose your pain.

List of Conditions Treated:

Flat Feet- The term flat feet or flatfeet refers to a condition that occurs when the arches of the feet are not curved, but instead are flat, allowing the entire foot to touch the floor when standing up.

Bunions- Bunions are bony lumps that project from the base of the big toe, right where it joins with the foot. As the bunion grows, it pushes the big toe out of its normal position, creating a lump that rubs against shoes and causes pain, especially when walking. Calluses and Blisters can commonly form into Bunions.

Corns- Corns are hard or “horny” areas of dead skin that form as a result of continual friction, usually from shoes that are too tight or constricting or otherwise do not fit properly. As friction increases, the skin forms a hard barrier to protect the structures underneath.

Heel Pain-Heels withstand a substantial amount of the pressure when we walk and stand, and pain in the heel region can occur for any number of reasons. Some of the most common include arthritis, heel bursitis, heel spurs and plantar fasciitis, a condition that occurs when the strong band of fibrous tissue that helps support the arch becomes inflamed and irritated.

Ankle Sprain or Foot Sprain- A sprain is an injury to a ligament, the strong bands of connective tissue that attach one bone to another. Sprains can occur when a ligament is overstretched, twisted or bruised.
